FREE GUIDE FOR AFRICAN WOMEN IN THE DIASPORA
If you’ve been feeling stuck, confused, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start, this guide will give you the clarity you’ve been craving.
It breaks down the realities of building a business in the diaspora, the mindset shifts you need, how to choose the right idea, and how to finally move forward without guessing.
This isn’t another surface-level “business tips” ebook. It’s a warm, honest, relatable roadmap created from the lived experiences of African women navigating new countries, new systems, and new dreams.
THE HIDDEN PART OF DIASPORA LIFE THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT
People back home see that you’re “making it.” People here see you as “strong.”
But they don’t see the quiet battles:
- How starting again in a new country makes you doubt everything you thought you knew.
- How you have great ideas but no guidance.
- How you want to grow but you’re constantly overwhelmed.
- How you feel like you’re meant for more but have no map.
- How you show up for everyone but have nobody who shows up for you.
- How your confidence has slowly dimmed not because you lack ability, but because life keeps happening.
You’re trying to juggle family, work, bills, responsibilities, and still build something meaningful… all in a place where the systems are different and the support is almost non-existent.
No one was built to carry all that alone, and AFFN is the space where you finally put that weight down.
AFFN gives you the network, relationships, and supportive circle you’ve been missing, women to think with, build with, and rise with.
WHAT AFFN REALLY IS
AFFN is a community, yes, but not the kind where people drop motivational quotes and disappear. It is a community for ambitious, purpose-driven women who are building businesses of their own.
AFFN is structure.
AFFN is direction.
AFFN is confidence-building.
AFFN is business clarity.
AFFN is emotional support.
AFFN is accountability.
AFFN is sisterhood.
It is a place where African women stop feeling ashamed of not knowing “how,” and finally receive the guidance to move forward with purpose.
Inside AFFN, you don’t have to pretend you’re strong. You don’t have to guess what to do next. You don’t have to build in silence.
For once, you get to be supported, not just celebrated, guided, not judged, understood, not overlooked.
This is where African women breathe again, and rise, because success in the diaspora is not just about what you know it’s about who walks beside you. AFFN connects you to African women who want to collaborate, share opportunities, exchange knowledge, and grow together without competition

Lara – The Visionary Behind AFFN
As an African woman building multiple businesses in the UK, I’ve felt the isolation, the overthinking, the overwhelm, the lack of clarity and the desire for a safe space where I could grow with women who understand my world.
For years, I ran a successful fashion and printing business, creating designs, teaching online, and building a YouTube community of over 350,000 across the world. But behind the numbers, I kept noticing something deeper. So many African women who are talented, educated, and creative were stuck. They had ideas but didn’t know where to start. They were building businesses but felt alone, overwhelmed, and invisible.
Women were working so hard juggling family, work, and dreams but lacked clarity, community, and confidence.
They didn’t need more motivation; they needed direction and sisterhood.
That’s where the African Female Founders Network (AFFN) was born. A space for African women in the diaspora to grow, connect, and thrive together.
Here, we’re not just talking about business ideas, we’re helping women turn their experiences, skills, and creativity into real income, impact, and confidence.
Whether you’re just starting or already running something, AFFN is where you’ll find your clarity, your voice, and your tribe.
